Designing in sustainability from the outset
US Ceramics plants at both Wrens and Andersonville were designed to be flexible and to optimize energy efficiency. This design includes high technology exhaust filtration systems that neutralise SOx and NOx emissions as well as removing dust particulates in all areas, methods to eliminate process water discharges, as well as advanced heat recovery systems and optimized building design to increase natural light within the process buildings.
Continuous focus in environmental monitoring and control
GINMIN has continuous water quality management and monitoring and also air quality monitoring which incorporate implementation of dust mitigative measures. GINMIN has also initiated various reclamation and waste reduction initiatives.
Commitment to supporting our employees and their communities
Both GINMIN and US Ceramics foster good community relations through transparency, promoting awareness of their activities and encouraging local feedback. As specific examples, GINMIN has supported,
- The construction of a new school
- A local residential electrification program
